Info about St Kitts
St Kitts weather for everybody
St Kitts island might be the perfect place for you to spend your holiday, because it has a warm weather, due to its tropical climate. But don’t imagine there will be only hot temperatures, because they are cooled down by the Northeast Tradewinds. This is a Caribbean island with 2 seasons, like the other Caribbean islands: the dry season and the rainy season (or wet season).
The dry season lasts from January to April and the rainy season starts on May and it lasts until in December. Most tourists tend to visit St Kitts during The end of December until the middle of April, because at that time in their country the weather is still cold (it is winter and spring), and also because in the rainy season there are more chances of rainy time and also hurricanes. If they would have visited the island in this period, tourists would have needed more luggages because they must have with them also some adequate rain clothes.
Temperatures are moderate all year round, not so hot as you might expect because St Kitts has low humidity, and , of course, an importing part of the moderate temperatures it has the Northeast Tradewinds. So the average temperature during the year is from 78 to 88 degrees Fahrenheit (during the day, but the nights are just a bit colder). Most of the year (in May, June, july, August, September and October) has an average temperature of 81 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius). The lowest average temperatures are in December, January, February and March, when there are approximate 77 degrees Fahrenheit (or 25 degrees Celsius). Also the average high temperature during the period May to October is 84 degrees Fahrenheit (29 degrees Celsius) and the average low temperature for the same period of time is 77 degrees Fahrenheit, or 25 degrees Celsius. During our winter season, in St Kitts the average high temperature is 81 degrees Fahrenheit, so there are 27 degrees Celsius and the average low temperature is 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius).
The rainfall during the year is 45 inches. The months with the highest average rainfall are September, with 5,6 inches, and August and November with 5,2 inches. The driest month is February, when there are only an average approximation of 1,9 inches of rain. But we can’t forget that the Caribbean islands can be hit by hurricanes, mainly during September when many thunderstorms occur.
